Shipping Policy
Turnaround
Handheld baked goods are made to order and require a 72 hour lead time.
Custom/Wedding cakes are made to order and require advanced notice. For custom cakes, 1 week is preferred. For wedding cakes, please order 1 month in advance.
Carriers/Delivery
We use USPS - Priority Mail (approximately 1-3 business days) to ensure your baked goods are still fresh when you receive them.
Local Delivery is available within Clarksville, TN (Note - A $5 delivery fee will be added at checkout)
Curbside pickup is also available at the bakery's location (25 Jefferson St, Clarksville, TN 37040)
Shipping Rates
The rate charged for the shipping of your order is based on the weight of your products, and your location. Before the final checkout page you will be shown what the cost of shipping will be, and you will have a chance to not place your order if you decide not to.
Returns, Refunds and Exchanges
How To Return An Item
Due to the nature of our products, we will not accept returns, however, if a product arrives damaged due to shipping we will work with you to refund or reship your items. You must notify us upon receiving your package and provide photo evidence of the damaged goods.
Please email ellen@ellyscottagecakery.com to request a refund and we will assist you. Be sure to include your name, order number and an image of the damaged item(s).
Cancellation Policy
At The Cottage Cakery, we understand that life happens and plans may change. We do our best to be flexible while also protecting the time, resources, and preparation that go into creating your custom order.
Custom Orders

A non-refundable retainer of 50% of the total is required to book your event date. Full payment is due no later than 3 days before your event.

Orders canceled 14 days or more before the scheduled pickup or delivery date may be eligible for a partial refund, minus the non-refundable retainer and any costs already incurred (e.g., design work, supplies, or tastings).

Orders canceled less than 7 days before the event are not eligible for a refund, as ingredients will have been purchased and preparation will have already begun.
Tastings & Scheduling

Complimentary tastings are offered for wedding and large event orders, and their value is considered when processing cancellations.

Once a date is confirmed in writing (email, text, or form submission), it is considered final. If a mistake is made in scheduling but confirmed by both parties, we may not be able to offer a full refund due to preparation already underway.
Special Circumstances
If you've received a custom product (even if delivered early or on an incorrect date due to confirmation), the cost of that product will be deducted from any refund offered. Delivery mileage and labor are also considered in refund calculations.
